Our Council of Governors

Elected Governors

More than half of the Board of Governors are members of the public (including patients, carers and volunteers). The aim is to give local people a real say in the way in which the Trust is run. There are also a number of Governors appointed by the Trust’s stakeholder partners.

Any Member aged 18 and over is eligible to stand as a Governor representing their constituency. Governors are elected for a maximum term of three years; they can be re-elected but no Governor would serve for longer than nine years in total.
